The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), on behalf of the Division of Human Resources, Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality, is seeking proposals from accredited private institutions of higher education, experienced in providing teacher certification programs that result in producing high quality teachers for NYCDOE public schools. A separate solicitation will be released for services from public institutions from the City University of New York (CUNY) and the State University of New York (SUNY) systems. Since the inception of the New York City Teaching Fellows (NYCTF) program in 2000, the NYCDOE has worked collaboratively with vendors to prepare alternate route teachers for public schools throughout the city. Over the years, new programs have launched covering a variety of subject areas, based on the needs of the NYCDOE, and allowed for different entry points into the teaching profession. Moving forward, the NYCDOE seeks to continue to prepare alternate route teachers, while also providing space for new initiatives, innovative practices, and opportunities for vendors to support additional teacher preparation programs through both alternate and traditional route services. The NYCDOE will partner with accredited institutions of higher education that offer teacher certification programs and bachelor and master degrees in the field of education. All programs must be capable of providing relevant and responsive coursework focused on outcomes in teacher practice and be delivered in an efficient and flexible manner suited for participants who teach full-time while enrolled in coursework. Detailed service description and requirements are provided in the Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation. This RFP contains three (3) service components. Component 1 is independent and Components 2 and 3 are dependent. Component 1: Alternative Certification Programs for Teacher Candidates Component 2: Supplementary, Extension, and Advanced Certification Programs for Teachers Component 3: NYC Pipeline Initiatives Traditional Pathways for Teacher Candidates IMPORTANT: Vendors have the option to propose for Component 1 independent of Components 2 or 3. Vendors who propose for Component 2 must also propose for a second Component, either Component 1 or Component 3. Vendors who propose for Component 3 must also propose for a second Component, either Component 1 or Component 2. Vendors also have the option to propose for all three components. Proposals for a dependent component (Components 2 or 3) will not be considered without proposals for a second component. The NYCDOE will enter into requirements contract agreements with multiple vendors that meet the needs and specifications of this open-ended RFP. The awarded contracts will be for a term of six (6) years. It is anticipated that services will commence on or about June 2019. THIS SOLICITATION IS OPENED INDEFINITELY. To download the solicitation, go to https://www.finance360.org/vendor/vendorportal/. If you cannot download, send an e-mail to VendorHotline@schools.nyc.gov. Include your companys name, address, phone and fax numbers, email address, Tax ID Number, RFP Number and Title. The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) is releasing this Request for Information (RFI) in response to the commitment outlined by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA) in the Congestion Relief Zone Tolling Program Final Mitigation Plan to direct $7 million for electric vehicle charging infrastructure in three specific mitigation communities in the Bronx. These communities include: The Crotona-Tremont community including the Bathgate Industrial Business Zone (IBZ) The Northeast Bronx community including the Eastchester IBZ The Pelham-Throgs Neck community including the Zerega IBZ This RFI seeks to gather information for and assess interest in a potential new EV Charging Incentive (EVCI) Program run by NYC DOT and funded by TBTA. The new EVCI Program would complement the New York City Clean Trucks Program (NYCCTP) (at https://www.nycctp.com) and would provide financial assistance to fleets adopting battery electric vehicles (BEVs) through NYCCTP, covering eligible costs associated with private or public truck charging infrastructure. Fleets must be either located within these communities or conduct a significant portion of their business and travel within these communities. This RFI is released through PASSPort, New York Citys online procurement portal, as an RFx. Responses to this RFI/RFx must be submitted via PASSPort. To access the RFI, vendors should visit the PASSPort Public Portal. To reach the Public Portal, visit the following site: https://www.nyc.gov/site/mocs/passport/about-passport.page then click on the rectangle captioned Procurement Navigator, whereupon you will arrive at the Portal. To quickly locate the RFI, insert the following EPIN, 84127Y0885, into the Keyword search field, then click search. Maritime Operators, Electric Barge Service Between Brooklyn Marine Terminal and Hunts Point Marine Terminal

Read description
New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) invites expressions of interest from maritime operators, vessel designers, logistics firms, and technology partners for the development of an all-electric and/or zero-emissions (ZE) container-on-barge and associated tug service between the Brooklyn Marine Terminal (BMT) and the future Hunts Point Marine Terminal (HPMT), as well as the potential for future expansion to other strategic locations in New York Harbor and along the East Coast. This service represents a strategic investment in improving food resiliency, strengthening redundancy in the regional supply chain, and reducing dependence on truck-dominated corridors. This service is also being designed to catalyze investment into zero emissions maritime technology in NY Harbor. The BMT-HPMT electric/ZE barge service is intended to provide a reliable, zero-emission marine corridor capable of transporting at least 100 40-foot refrigerated containers (reefers) per sailing, with sufficient onboard electrical capacity and reefer connections to maintain continuous refrigeration of all containers during transit. In planning HPMT, NYCEDC designed the terminal to accommodate 150 40-foot containers moving in each direction simultaneously. Leveraging marine transportation, this service will bypass congested highways, reducing emissions, roadway wear, and operational risk. It will also contribute to citywide decarbonization goals by deploying next-generation marine vessel technology and supporting shoreside infrastructure. HPMT is expected to open in Q2 2030, with the barge operation coming online at approximately the same time. NYCEDC may use the information in responses to the RFEI to inform future RFPs and procurements. NYCEDC will be looking closely at the responses to the questions stated in the RFEI, including but not limited to: Electrification/ZE requirements, vessel size and design, operations, service concept, charging stations, and electric/ZE tug feasibility, as well as the overall quality of the proposal, experience of the firms identified, and demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFEI. It is the policy of NYCEDC to comply with all federal, state and City laws and regulations which prohibit unlawful discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status and other protected category and to take affirmative action in working with contracting parties to ensure certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) share in the economic opportunities generated by NYCEDCs projects and initiatives. Companies who have been certified with the New York City Department of Small Business Services as Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) are strongly encouraged to apply. To learn more about M/WBE certification, NYCEDCs M/WBE program, and programs to assist M/WBE in navigating current and upcoming opportunities on NYCEDC projects, please visit https://sbsconnect.nyc.gov/certification-directory-search/ and edc.nyc/opportunity-mwdbe. The New York City Department of Transportation (the Agency) seeks a qualified vendor to develop, deploy, support, and maintain existing and future Transit Signal Priority (TSP) corridors. The Agency has successfully deployed a centralized Transit Signal Priority (TSP) System within the Citys five boroughs. Central TSP leverages the existing ITS infrastructure, including a new Traffic Safety Network (TSN), centralized Traffic Control Systems, and on-board bus equipment to lower costs and to facilitate rapid implementation. This minimized the hardware and software required to make the TSP System operational. Existing and future bus corridors on the TSP System span approximately 200 miles and include about 3,500 signalized traffic intersections. Additionally, more corridors are planned/deployed over the next few years. This Request for Proposals (RFP)/RFx is released through PASSPort, New York Citys online procurement portal.
